In this idea-thon, teams of science engagement practitioners will be exploring what the conceptual tools of sensemaking, roles and repertoires could bring to a specific science engagement challenge, centred on interactions with a specific audience.

Do you perhaps have a case study for the idea-thon?
Some case studies will be brought by external "problem owners", while others will be put on the table by participants themselves.
If you're ready to share your challenge and let others play with it, you could be one of our "problem owners". Don’t panic if you don’t have a challenge to put forward, you’ll learn a lot by putting your creativity at the service of someone else.
We’ll be reviewing potential case studies on a rolling basis and if yours is chosen we will contact you directly.

Do you think you can contribute a challenge from your own practice?
In practice, this will mean: attending a short meeting with the workshop organisers ahead of 9 November, doing a couple of hours' work to gather resources and information for the group(s) working in your challenge, delivering a very short presentation in the first workshop and briefing a team in the second workshop. We'll then ask "problem owners" to step back and work with another team - but they'll of course get to hear the creative ideas of those who worked on their challenge and they'll be able to give feedback.

Into which category do you think your challenge falls?
Tell us more about it in a few sentences: who, where, what, with what goal and what the specific challenge you'd like to get ideas on.

Fields marked with * are required.
